How Does The Cash Gift Work?

Once you close on your new home, we’ll write you a check. It’s as simple as that.

Is this legal?

Yes. Per the Utah Division of Real Estate, R162-2f-401 Gifts and Inducements:

(1) An inducement gift is permissible and is not an illegal sharing of commission if the principal broker or affiliated licensee offering the inducement gift to a buyer or a seller complies with the underwriting guidelines that apply to any loan in the transaction for which the inducement has been offered.

(2) A closing gift is permissible and is not an illegal sharing of commissions.

Other Ways To Get Cash or Save Money

Closing Costs Paid – Often times we are successful in getting sellers to pay your closing costs for you. If you are looking to purchase a brand-new home, we are often able to negotiate cash incentives from the builder.
